Chrome on Android can read webpages out loud from inside of the application

Google is rolling out a new solution termed “Listen to this page” that can study a webpage out loud to you from inside the Android Chrome browser. The characteristic arrives with playback controls identical to all those you’d find in tunes or podcast players, letting you pause, modify the looking through velocity, scrub ahead, or skip forward or back again by 10 seconds at a time.

You can also adjust the voice it uses, as perfectly as the language. The attribute supports various, such as English, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, and Spanish, in accordance to a Google enable web site about the attribute. To see if you have it, head to a webpage with a good deal of text, then faucet the three dots menu and “Listen to this web page,” which should appear just under the Translate solution.

I endorse the breathy voice of Ruby: Mid-pitch, Quiet.
